I have spent more time knitting than posting the past couple weeks.
I finished my square for the Test-a-long. I knit it in Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock yarn. The color was Glenwood.

However feeling under the weather has kept me from getting it to the post office yet. Sorry Larissa and Martin. I plan to mail it today.
I have made a lot of progress on the socks I am knitting for Joy. I was worried about the second sock syndrome so I told m so I told myself I had to cast on the second sock after I finished the first sock before I knit anything else. It worked for me and now all I have left is to shape the toe. The picture was from earlier this week. I plan finish the sock today.

The next socks I knit will be for Lily out of the Lily Pond yarn I Kool-Aid dyed.
Last weekend I rented episodes 5-12 of Prison Break (I have become addicted) and did a lot of work on my afghan. I wish it was done now because I am sure one of the girls would like a nice warm afghan on this cold weekend. I think I more than doubled the length (it would have been longer but there was some frogging of mistakes).
Lily has declared herself to be a vegetarian. It will be interesting cooking since there are three of us right now and we each have different needs. I am on weight watchers, Joy is an athlete, and now Lily is a vegetarian. It is actually very doable when you can have the time to plan. We already have some meals that fit, black beans and rice, spaghetti and marinara sauce and stir fry with marinated tofu and ramen noodles. Lily doesn't yet understand her need to plan out how to have the appropriate protein in her diet. We will work on it. I am open to any suggestions.
Aside from not feeling well this week my new exercise program has kept me from some of my regular posting. I used to post early in the morning however I now use that time to exercise. I am using Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds videos. When I finish this post I will do the 3 mile walk for the first time.
School has also been busy. I am the Coordinator for our Jump Rope for Heart program. The actual event is Friday so I have been busy getting ready for it. JRH is a wonderful program, we try not to emphasize the fund-raising portions but get all the children involved making posters about being healthy, learning about heart disease and stroke, learning new jump rope skills and reaching out to others. It is a lot of work for me but so rewarding.
