for being an uninspired blogger and knitter. I am not going to give my excuses they are typical. A lot has been going on, I fill everyone in on what I have time for. This is what my house looked like this morning.
Swimming sectionals are today which means that the night before the JV girls TP the girls on the Sectional/State team. Joy is a senior and an alternate for the 200 medley relay. If the relay qualifies by winning today or meeting the time standard she will go to the state meet next weekend. Although a four year varsity swimmer this is the first time she has been selected to be on the state team. Our high school is known for swimming and the teams usually have a lot of talent so it is more difficult. I think she is happy to be included yet she doesn't have the stress of swimming today (unless something happens).
I have been an uninspired knitter and occasionally pick up the needles. Partly because I am too tired at night and just veg out and watch TV. During this time I have become adicted to the show Heroes. I bought season one and watched it in a week. Maybe if I watch it a second time I can knit during it since I have already seen it.
It is really strange that it is November 10th and I can look out my window and it is GREEN outdoors. Usually leaves are down by the 1st and definately not green. Some are turning as you can see in the picture, however my yard service does not come weekly in November (usually the leaves are down) so I supose the leaves will accumulate until their final clean up.
Yesterday my dad went into the nursing home. He can not talk and basically everything needs to be done for him. This is really best for my mom because the stress of caring for him has taken a toll on her. Everyone understands this except for my sister. In her defense she has really been there for him in a way that my brother and I were unable. For her it is all about my dad and she has been a blessing to him. Fortunately the nursing home is close to my school which will make it easier to visit with my busy schedule.
Today I am going purse shopping with my mom for my birthday this morning. The swim meet will take up the afternoon. Then I have two dinners to go to (usually I have nothing on Saturday night). I will stop by the Post Sectional dinner and then go to a friend who is having a small group for dinner. I am supposed to bring an appetizer. I need to come up with something easy. I can always bring my layered cream cheese, sundried tomatoes and pesto. The pesto is already made.
